Never thought I’d end up in a Reddit group called stonerfood, but trying to come up with a title for this healthy beans and hot dogs soup recipe brought me there. Originally, I thought this bean recipe was a great healthier dinner idea for families, especially kids. It’s the only way I can convince my child to eat beans. But I guess it’s human nature, we all like the irresistible combo of beans and franks (as I just found out this is called). So, whether you’re a mom making food for her family or just a regular stoner, I’m pretty sure you will like this amazing comfort food recipe!

It’s delicious, meal-prep friendly and very easy to make on the stove! Unlike most canned food options, this beans and sausages recipe doesn’t swell your tongue from the amount of added sodium and preservatives.
We’re using healthy, whole food ingredients (well, minus the sausages, which only a few selected humans know what is inside). Now, I did use a variety of “healthier” sausages, nitrite-free but I trust nobody at this point. If I don’t see it, I don’t know what it is. (Why am I always convincing people not to make my recipes?? Like, stoners, come on, HELP!!!)
Anyway, everyone around me loves this beans and hot dogs soup. Whenever I make it, I get to eat only one serving. That might sound bad, but it just means I don’t have to eat leftovers the next day. I can have a sandwich or a fresh salad…I don’t know. Something new! This mostly happens with this soup or the creamy tortellini.

So here’s the recipe, I hope you enjoy it!
