What Is A Bullet Journal?
There are probably better definitions about what a bullet journal is than mine, but here it goes:
A bullet journal is mix between a journal and a planner that you create on your very own. This allows you a lot of flexibility and space to track whatever you need to track, to create whatever you want to create, to plan whatever you want to experience in this life. And then to remind yourself of the things you’ve experienced in a very condensed format.
You don’t need to write out entire pages to describe everything that is happening currently, you can write your highlights down as bullet points.
With a bullet journal you also have an index page, which can help you navigate through the pages faster. Which is seriously a game changer. Whenever you write something down and then forget when it happened, you won’t need to go through the whole journal to find it. You’ve put it on the index page.
What I think is amazing with bullet journals is that you can always arrange things your way. Many layouts make it easier to track everything at a glance, which can help you gain clarity about your goals, about where you are right now and about what happened in general.
What If I Mess It Up?
Let me get this straight: I’m nowhere near making these beautiful drawings in my own bullet journal. I do think they’re wonderful and probably very calming to make if you know what you’re doing and have some spare time.
But me, well…I just started my bullet journal a few months ago after I was thinking about it and had bought “the journal” for a few month already. See, I was so hesitant to start
One day I just started it and it doesn’t look pretty, it’s not as organized as other people’s…but now I know all these things don’t matter. Trying to be perfect with this “planner” didn’t help at all. I’m so glad I started it before I knew what I was doing and before I had spent another month thinking about it.
It’s mine, completely, and the only thing that matters to me is that it helps me keep my life together and keep my head clear. And it does just this.
Getting Organized With A Bullet Journal
I’ve seen such huge progress in my productivity, the way I prioritize, the way I manage and track my time and what I’m doing. It helps me set clear goals on a weekly basis and actually achieve most of them.
So now, after I’ve gotten more organized with my working schedule and “mom life”, I want to also start tracking/planing my fitness and weight loss journey in my bullet journal.
I already have some ideas, but I wanted to find some more inspiration and of course share it here.
People do not mess around with those bullet journals. Some of them look like manga.
But as implied, don’t be intimidated by how beautiful the bullet journals of others look. Use this tool, because it’s a great way to get and keep your life together. Don’t miss out, because you’re trying to make it perfect.
Here are 10 genius bullet journal ideas that I found on Instagram, that can help you get your health, fitness and diet on track.
