Easy Yogurt Garlic Sauce

This yogurt garlic sauce recipe is like the better half of that grilled chicken and salad. It’s the apple of the eye of this amazing sweet potato moussaka skillet and it goes with pretty much everything. Well, there might be a few exceptions, but if you’re looking for an easy way to elevate your bowls, wraps, grilled meat or slow cooked meals – this it the easy sauce you didn’t know you needed.

This yogurt garlic sauce recipe goes with bowls, wraps, grilled meat fish and vegetables, with salads or slow cooked meals. It's similar to tzatziki, but even easier to put together!

It’s similar to tzatziki, but even simpler and it’s super easy to make. Three ingredients and about two minutes of your time. That’s all the resources you need! The sauce is gluten-free, keto and low-carb.

Easy Yogurt Garlic Sauce Ingredients

Now, let’s get specific, here’s what you need:

  • Plain Greek Yogurt. You can use full-fat, low-fat, whatever you like. Just keep it non-flavored. I lately like sheep yogurt a lot – it’s very rich and creamy. But any kind will do in this yogurt garlic sauce.
  • Garlic. To me the star of this little healthy recipe!
  • Salt. Simple, but a must to make the flavors really pop!

How To Make The Yogurt Garlic Sauce

I’m pretty sure “cooking” doesn’t get easier than this. You basically put some yogurt into a small bowl, then add minced garlic and salt and mix them all together! It seriously takes 2 minutes.

The only three reasons I sometimes skip this sauce at dinner time are when 1) I’m making something Asian-inspired, something with pesto or with cheese (I find the flavors don’t complement each other), 2) I don’t have any yogurt 3) I don’t want to clean the small bowl (in that case I often make the sauce right in the yogurt container).

How To Serve

Here are some dinner recipes that will go really well with this simple yogurt garlic sauce:

This yogurt garlic sauce will also go great during barbecue season! Make a batch and serve with seasonal salad, grilled vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, peppers, green onions and of course – fish and meat.

This easy chopped chicken salad is a healthy lunch idea that is light, yet satiating and great for meal prep too! Perfect for clean eating, this chicken recipe is low-carb, high-protein, high-fiber, gluten-free and makes a delicious weight loss meal!

How To Store

If you make too much, you can put the leftovers in an airtight container (I use a glass jar with lid) and store it in the fridge for 2 more days.
