This simple frozen blueberry smoothie will blow you away! It tastes like a delicious blueberry shake, but it’s actually super healthy and you only need 3 simple ingredients – blueberries, banana and milk of choice!

Depending on your preferences, you can make the blueberry smoothie recipe for breakfast, snack, dessert or even lunch! Whenever you’re craving something quick, sweet and refreshing. I’d describe it as something that’s a lot like ice cream, but made with wholesome foods and packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals!
Like I couldn’t stop drinking it. I’d have a sip and go mmmmm. Let go a bit and repeat. Until it was all gone.

If you’ve tried my favorite strawberry smoothie, you’ll notice this healthy frozen blueberry smoothie is very similar. The difference is that we’ll use only half a banana, since blueberries are pretty sweet, much sweeter than strawberries.
So if you’ve got some frozen blueberries in your freezer, grab them and let’s make a healthy smoothie!

Frozen Blueberry Smoothie Ingredients
Frozen blueberries. You can use store-bought or the fruits that you’ve frozen yourself if you were lucky enough to have a ton of fresh blueberries at one point during the last few months.
Banana. If you want to make the smoothie less frozen/less like ice cream and have a weaker blender use fresh banana. The smoothie will be easier to blend without adding too much milk. If your blender can handle it and you’re craving a refreshing smoothie that’s a lot like melty ice cream, like a slushy or a shake – use frozen banana (that’s what I did).
Milk. We only had regular milk, so that’s what I used in the recipe. That said, any other kind of milk should do. I’m pretty sure coconut milk would be amazing here, so I’m excited to try it next.
How To Make The Frozen Blueberry Smoothie
It’s very simple! Add all the ingredients to a blender, let sit for 3-4 minutes and process until blended all the way.

If you feel your blender is struggling at some point, either add a bit more liquid or let sit for a few more minutes.

How To Serve
Serve this healthy blueberry smoothie right away and enjoy it whenever you need an energizing drink!

Instructions

*I used frozen banana to make the smoothie more icy, much like a slushy/shake. You can use fresh banana if you have a weaker blender. And if you feel like your blender is struggling at some point, either add a bit more liquid or let the mixture sit at room temperature for a few more minutes.
