How To Make One-Pan Salmon And Rice
I don’t think I’ve ever had a recipe as easy as this one on the blog. Really you just have to try it.
- Add all ingredients to a nonstick pan, cover with a lid and bring to a boil.
- Then reduce to low and simmer for around 20 minutes or until rice is done.
- Flake the salmon throughout the meal and serve immediately.
Some Tasty Options
If you like dill, you can also thinly chop and sprinkle some dill all over the pan, in the end, to make it look pretty. I like dill, so I did that. Basil or cilantro or parsley will also work though.
And if you like cheese, you can also stir in some cheese in the end.
But don’t overcomplicate it, mkay. Above all this is a simple recipe that you can make when you don’t have a lot of ingredients and when you’re craving comfort food.
If you like you can also serve this with a salad, with some avocado or with some spicy sauce like sriracha. Wasabi will go too, probably. You can take this meal in any direction you want. I recommend the salad, because we need to stay healthy, mkay. Say no to MSG and sugar. That’s my fitness talk for today, you’re welcome.
Family-Friendly Meal, Well…
If your family likes salmon, they are going to love this recipe too!
My kid really loves fish. Nothing more adorable than a cute 3-year old saying “yummy” when he smells someone grilling mackerel. Forget about chocolate and pizza, the kid wants olives, cucumbers and salmon. Well, also chocolate and pizza, but I see it more optimistically. So naturally, my son loved this salmon and rice dinner. He also loves creamy salmon pasta and salmon with potato puree.
My husband on the other hand…not so much. But, you know, save yourself – two against one. And you know where the pasta is.
I hope you and your entire family enjoy this simple healthy meal made with salmon and rice!
